Liberated
The poem "Liberated" by Udiah (witness to Yah) is about a person that was in a concentration camp or refugee camp and they had be liberated. In this poem the rhyme scheme is aaaa, bbbb, aaaa, cccc, aaaa; i think think the author used this rhyme scheme because she wanted to emphasize what she was trying to say. I also think she emphasized her words by using repetition and alliteration.
Examples of alliteration:
- line 1: free from
- line 2: liberated, life
- line 10: free from
- line 13: liberated, life
Examples of repetition:
- lines 1, 2, 3, and 4 are repeated in lines 10, 11, 12, and 13
- lines 2, 3, 4, 11, 12, and 13 are repeated in lines 20, 21, and 22
- line 9 is repeated in line 18
